Duration 8 Days
Type Self Guided
distance 320 km
Lodging Comfort

E-Bike through a scenic cycle loop alongside three significant rivers in Portugal (Mondego, Dão, and Vouga) and the Atlantic Ocean coastline.

Embark on an unforgettable journey along the Portugal Atlantic Ring, following the scenic cycling paths, most of them non-motorized lanes (asphalt and packed dirt, using former railway lines turned in to greenways), that wind alongside the Mondego, Dão, and Vouga rivers plus the central part of the Atlantic Coast. Discover the historic cities of Coimbra, Viseu and Aveiro, each offering a rich tapestry of culture and charm. Experience the unique blend of the central Atlantic coastline with its white sand beaches and Portugal's inland treasures, birthplace of the traditions and some of the most important wine varieties, while effortlessly cruising on electric bikes. With train connections available from and to Porto (possible to connect with a bike ride extension) and Lisbon, this adventure promises the perfect fusion of coastal beauty and inland exploration. The Atlantic Ring Bike Tour uses more than 140 km of bike & pedestrian only tracks and low traffic secondary roads, including Eurovelo 1 sections.
