Walking Tour in Douro & Vinho Verde Wine Regions | Guided

Duration 8 Days
Type Self Guided

The Douro Valley is located in the north-eastern part of the country and its landscape is classified as UNESCO World Heritage. It is a wine production area that extends along the Douro River and its terraces, where the famous Port wine is produced.

Terras de Basto is a sub-region of the largest wine region in Portugal (“Vinho Verde Wines") and it is located in the Northwest part of Portugal. Know for the production of Vinho Verde which literally means “green wine,” a reference to the wine’s “youth” and character.
This walking tour, in addition to exploring our natural landscapes, conservation areas, and cultural sites, will bring the opportunity to visit different Wine Estates and taste several different types of Portuguese wine: Douro table wine, Port wine, Vinho Verde Wine, among others.
